Important Scholarship Information

 

RENEWAL INFORMATION FOR

CURRENT SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS

 

To renew your scholarship, please check your email for a renewal form invite to complete. If you did not receive invitation, please request the renewal form by emailing mail@jeffersondollarsforscholars.org

 

 You must submit this information to renew your scholarship funds for the upcoming School Year. 

If you meet the deadline, your scholarship funds will be processed and mailed to your school.

Recipients who do not meet the deadline will not have checks processed until the end of August.

 

 REQUIREMENTS FOR ELIGIBILITY - FOR HIGH SCHOOL CLASS OF 2025

To be eligible to apply for a Jefferson Dollars for Scholars Scholarship, students must meet the following requirements: 

1. Graduating from a Jefferson Parish Public School or Charter School or a Jefferson Parish resident graduating from the LA School of Math, Science and the Arts or NOCCA

2. A minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0/4.0

3. A minimum ACT composite score of 20

4. Graduating from high school December 2024 - May 2025

 

Your online scholarship application must having the following:

1. A complete ONLINE application including Counselor's evaluation with attached transcript

2. FAFSA generated financial need number, as shown on the FAFSA form must be provided. If your FAFSA indicates that your family can easily afford your college expenses, please understand that we cannot provide you with funding. Our scholarship funds are committed to financially and academically deserving students.

3. Student Profile at 100% completion, after you receive your FAFSA/ SAI report.  

4. Complete the scholarship page so we know what awards you want to be considered for. 

5. There are no minimum or maximum word requirements for essays. 

6. Our scholarships are merit AND need based and your SAI number is required for scholarship consideration.
