SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION INFORMATION

High School Class of 2027 

Eligibility Requirements 

1. Graduate December 2026-May 2027 from a Jefferson Parish Public School/Charter School, or be a Jefferson Parish resident graduating from NOCCA or the Louisiana School of Math, Science and the Arts

2. 3.0 cumulative grade point average (4.0 scale)

3. ACT composite score of 20+

4. Financially deserving

Note: Students who receive a fully funded Gates Scholarship or Presidential Scholarship are ineligible to receive a Jefferson Dollars for Scholars scholarship, so that we may extend support to as many financially deserving students as possible.  This will apply retroactively if our award precedes the awarding of your full funding.

4. Scholarship Selection Page with top 3 choices indicated  

5. 2 personal statements - no word limits

Application Notes
  • Applications may be saved and edited until the due date.  Please update your college choices if you change your mind. 
  • All sections must be completed for scholarship consideration.

  • If you have any questions, email the Support bar on the application or contact the Jefferson Dollars for Scholars Office.
  • A list of available scholarships is on the top left of this page, at the "Our Scholarships" tab. In the application, all privately funded scholarships are grouped together under "Corporate and privately funded scholarships." This is your best option if a college you are considering is not named specifically as a choice.  

 

Special Instructions for applicants for

SENATOR TALBOT'S TULANE LEGISLATIVE SCHOLARSHIP FOR 2027-2028 SCHOOL YEAR   

  • If you are NOT a current Jefferson Parish Schools senior, please select Cuillier Career Center as your high school.  Then select "Senator Talbot's Tuane Legislative Scholarship" as the scholarship you are applying for.  This is the only way our system can process your application. 
  • If you ARE a current Jefferson Parish Schools senior,  live in Senator Talbot's district, AND are appying to Tulane, please be sure that the you indicate you are applying for "Senator Talbot's Tulane Legislative Scholarship" in addition to other colleges you are applying to. 
  • If you are already attending Tulane, please attach both your high school transcript and your Tulane transcript.

SCHOLARSHIP RENEWAL INFORMATION

 

Scholarship renewal instructions will be emailed to continuing students in May of each year. If you did not receive information, please send request by emailing mail@jeffersondollarsforscholars.org
