Jefferson Dollars for Scholars has a 32 year history of providing educational opportunities for the students in Jefferson Parish Public Schools through scholarships and academic support. Our programs enhance and expand in-school learning and post-secondary studies
and are offered with complete support of Jefferson Parish Schools.
50 years ago, Dr. Irving Fradkin, founder of Scholarship America Dollars for Scholars, asked members of his community to give anything they could -- even one dollar -- to support local students. Today, your gift to Jefferson Dollars for Scholars helps provide college scholarships, summer enrichment awards, laptops, and National Merit test prep courses.

Jefferson Dollars for Scholars is a chapter of Scholarship America, the largest non-profit scholarship organization in the country. There are 500 chapters nation-wide. Founded in 1993, Jefferson Dollars for Scholars is a local, grassroots organization that receives funding from grants, private businesses, as well as parents, friends and supporters. It is the only chapter in Louisiana.
